Grant scheme - ParisTech

The IDEA League network has set up grants for the promotion of student collaborations on research projects between Imperial College, TU Delft, ETH Zurich, RWTH Aachen and ParisTech.

The grants
The grants will be awarded by ParisTech acting as the sending university for internships in research laboratories at Imperial College, TU Delft, ETH Zürich or RWTH Aachen in either of the five priority areas of research collaboration of the IDEA League (see below).
The total amount of the grant is:
- € 1,000 for an internship of 1 to 2 months
- € 1,500 for an internship of 2 to 3 months
- € 2,000 for an internship of more than 3 months

Students who already receive funding from other sources (scholarship from home institution, funding from host institution etc.) for the internship are not eligible for the grant scheme.
A maximum of 36,000 € is available for this grant scheme for the academic year 2009-2010.

Subject areas
Interested students should find a project related to the IDEA League excellence clusters in Energy, Environment, Healthcare, ICT or Sustainable Mobility/Transport. More information on the IDEA League's research strengths.

- 1st June 2010 (internships in Fall and Winter 2010)

Application procedure
•    Student makes contact with academic at chosen partner institution via their supervisor in their home institution, and receives written agreement (by email from institutional email address or post).
•    Student hands in application documents by the deadline (application form, letter of motivation including a short research proposal, transcripts of academic results, letter of recommendation of a professor acting as the tutor or supervisor in their home institution, agreement email by academic at partner institution).
•    The applications are reviewed by a jury. Successful candidates are informed 2-3 weeks after deadline.
