Funds for Study Associations

The deadline for applications is 15 October 2011.

The IDEA League invites the students of its partner universities to apply for funding for joint projects of the study associations.

Collaboration within the IDEA League is based on the concept of added value by pooling our resources for the creation of unique and integrated programmes. Joint activities of the students are an important bottom-up aspect of our cooperation process.

So far, the IDEA League has funded joint projects for students in chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. These projects include a design competition, a tour of cutting edge research projects and a workshop on the integration of international students. The projects have in common a good mix of academic training in science and technology and interaction on an international and interdisciplinary level.

As result of the co-operation the study associations in mechanical engineering at our five IDEA League partner universities have established MESA- the Mechanical Engineering Study Association of the IDEA League. MESA is a platform for students and will help with information on the IDEA League Student Grant and how to use it for a successful research exchange.

We welcome proposals in the areas of Energy, Environment, Health, ICT and Mobility.

The grants will be awarded based on the added value for the IDEA League:

Does it stimulate and strengthen cooperation between IDEA League partners?

Does the proposed project have sustainable characteristics?

The grant is up to €3000 for a project.
