IDEALISTIC met at ParisTech

The student representatives of IDEALISTIC, the IDEA League student council, met in Paris on 24-27 May 2008 to discuss their input to the current activities and strategies of the IDEA League.

The main topic of discussion was the European Union and the EIT's higher education policy. It became apparent that there is need to further raise the awareness of the IDEA League Joint Masters programme and the grant scheme among students. IDEALISTIC agreed to play an active role in this.

The grant scheme offers students of IDEA League universities the opportunity to work on research projects relating to the fields of the Excellence Clusters on Energy, Environment, ICT, Health and Mobility at another IDEA League partner university.

After an exchange of best practice examples of the student councils in IDEA League partner universities and a workshop on business and entrepreneurship, there was still time for the IDEALISTIC group for sightseeing in Paris.
