The IDEA League Summer School on Transferable Skills is hosted by RWTH Aachen from 7th-13th September 2008. Participants will have an excellent opportunity to develop skills for suceeding in business and research and to get in touch with top-representatives from the industry.
Topics will be:
Intercultural Communication
Entrepreneurship
Innovation in Health Science and Medical Engineering
International Collaboration
The summer school is intended for late-stage PhD students with a focus on students in Health Science and Medical Engineering.
Date and place
The IDEA League Summer School on Transferable Skills will be held from 7th-13th September 2008 in Aachen, Germany.
The Aachen region has its roots in a great European past; Aachen is the city of Charlemagne, the first capital of an empire with European dimensions. Today, excavations from Roman times, historic castles and a bathing tradition stretching back to the Middle Ages still bear witness to this history.

Cost
The conference fee for the workshop will be entirely sponsored by RWTH Aachen.
This includes accommodation and full board for all days of the workshop.
Travel costs will be covered by the students' home institutions, see how to apply. The participants will have to make their own arrangements for travel to and from Aachen.

The summer school will be run at Universitätsklinikum Aachen,
Department of Psychiatry, RWTH Aachen University, Pauwelstraße 30, 52074 Aachen, Germany.

There you could take the bus.

Over the road you will find stage H2
Please take the bus line 3B to Universitätsklinikums Aachen.

Travel by car:
At motorway junction "Aachener Kreuz" to direction Antwerpen/ Heerlen. Take the second gateway "Aachen-Laurensberg",
turn to one's right, direction "Maastricht" and follow the
road signs to "Universitätsklinikum".
There you will find a lot of free parking places.
