Mission Statement for Education:

The IDEA League aims to expose its students to the unique breadth and depth of teaching, learning and research opportunities of five leading technical universities, thereby providing an environment based on excellence. A high degree of mobility for the students within the network is a trademark of the IDEA League. Thus, we are responding to the needs of the European labour market for excellently trained engineers and scientists with an international background.

Vision Statement for Education:

The IDEA League will fulfill its mission in education by developing opportunities for the students and teaching staff to take an active part in an international, higher education environment that is student-centered, science-led and technology-driven. It will offer a high degree of both academic mobility and intercultural exchange, and encourage interdisciplinarity by drawing on the complementarity of the partner institutions. The education provided will respond to societal and market needs, strengthening the competitiveness of the European Higher Education Area, an important requirement for Europe's future prosperity.

The IDEA League has an established track record of collaboration between its five partners who are all leading universities of technology and science. Collectively, the IDEA League has more than 85,000 of the best students of whom well over 12,000 are registered in doctoral programmes. The IDEA League’s educational portfolio is focused on its science and technology strengths with education at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels, and continuing professional development thereafter. Its graduates are highly sought after in academic, industrial, commercial and public sectors.

In order to involve IDEA League students in research collaborations at the earliest possible stage, the IDEA League has created a special grant scheme for students that is open to all student levels: bachelor, master and doctorates. The grant is intended for student research projects in the area of the IDEA League Excellence Clusters on Energy, Environment, Health, ICT, and Mobility.
