The IDEA League partner universities offer their students various research opportunities, ranging from projects for Bachelors students all the way to PhD projects. These research opportunities allow students to play an active role in frontline research and so become part of an international, often interdisciplinary, research community with an excellent reputation.
Online project databases offer easy access to these student research opportunity programmes at the IDEA League partner universities
These databases were first developed in the United States in the late 60s, with MIT founding its Undergraduate Research Opportunites Program (UROP). At MIT students can present their own projects and request mentoring, often in combination with funding, or choose between various exciting research projects offered by senior scientists.
