Various problems concerning Finite Element Method,
Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo Simulation will be assigned to the
students on Tuesday, July 24. A computer laboratory will be available
for the students in the following days of the workshop with the aim to solve the assigned problems. A group meeting
on
Thursday, July 26 will be organised by the participants in order
to collect
solutions and problems to the given tasks. A selected speaker of each
group
(2 persons per group) will give a presentation on Friday, July 27.
Each participant is expected to present her/his current research topic in a poster session which will be combined with Dinner on Monday, July 23. The poster should contain the following information:
1. An
abstract suitable for presentation to general (non-scientific) public,
explaining the academic and/or economic significance of the research topic, and
the major findings of the research.
2. A
technical abstract understandable to anybody with background in any branch of
materials
science.
3. The usual content of scientific posters.
4. A statement about the benefits which the attendee expects from this Summer School.
The posters will be on display during the first
4 days of the workshop. They can be up to vertical DIN A0 format
(118.8 cm x 84.0 cm). Please bring
with you an electronical version of your poster which will be published at our website or send it by email.
