TANDEMplusIDEA was the first EU project of the IDEA League and the first international mentoring programme. It was financed for three years between 2007 and 2010 by the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission.
TANDEMplusIDEA contained the conception and implementation of a modular mentoring and personal development scheme for female scientists, as well as its scientific evaluation and the development of a best practice model for an international mentoring programme.
The project aimed to achieve a better balance of sexes in academic fields, in order to ensure gender equality and to take the gender dimension into scientific research. It brought together a network of high qualified postdocs from natural science and engineering, and contributed to the scientific discourse of mentoring as an element of gender-equal human resources development. An international conference marked the final event and extended the national and international expert cooperation.
TANDEMplusIDEA has now ended, but the following pages will continue to give you an insight into its concept and realisation.
